Prediction model used for tunnels
When calculating predictions for a tunnel scenario inside Ranplan a modified version of Ranplan's true 3D ray tracing model is used.
For tunnel scenarios the number of rays, reflections and diffractions is tuned automatically by the application to best suit the project.
This means that any results generated are closer to measured data than those produced by other deterministic models which are only calculated based on a single dominant path.
