A Geographic Information System format (GIS) is a file type that combines map data with features from a database of a location.
We support the following GIS formats:
- GRD – converted into terrain data
- GRC – converted into clutter data
- SHP – the feature geometry itself, converted into building vector data
- SHX – the positional index of the feature geometry, converted into building vector data
- DBF – columnar attribute information of shape, converted into building vector data
- TAB – converted into partial building vector data
- IMG – converted into terrain data
- MID – MapInfo exchange file
- MIF – MapInfo file
- OSM – open street maps to building vector data
- TIF – converted into terrain or clutter data
- TIFF – converted into terrain or clutter data
Building vectors and foliage can be created manually or importing GIS files.
